Terms of service

Overview

Welcome to Knightley. These Terms & Conditions set out the terms on which you may use our website and purchase products from us.

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

Knightley is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our online store and services to you.

1. Our products

We take care to ensure that the descriptions, photographs and information displayed on our website are as accurate as possible.

Please be aware that colours and the appearance of products may vary slightly depending on the screen or device you are using.

As jewellery is a physical product, minor variations may occur between individual pieces. Where relevant, dimensions and weights are approximate unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change or discontinue products and to limit the quantities available for purchase.

2. Orders

When you place an order with Knightley, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.

You will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. This does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted. A contract between you and Knightley is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted and is being processed.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where a product is unavailable, there has been an error in the price or product information, payment has not been authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

If we are unable to fulfil an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.

Please check your order carefully before submitting it and contact us as soon as possible if you need to make a change.

3. Prices and payment

All prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling (GBP).

The price you pay will be the price displayed at the time you place your order, subject to the correction of any obvious pricing errors.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

4. Delivery

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom and offer complimentary standard delivery on all orders.

Estimated delivery times will be provided on our website or during checkout. While we make every effort to meet these estimates, occasionally delays may occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Certain products or sizes may be available to pre-order. Where an item is available to pre-order, the estimated dispatch timeframe will be clearly shown on the product page. If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, in-stock items will be dispatched sooner and your pre-order items will follow separately once available, at no additional delivery cost.

If there is a significant problem or delay with your delivery, please contact us at customercare@knightleyjewellery.co.uk.

5. Returns and refunds

We are confident you will love your Knightley jewellery. If you do change your mind, returns are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Customers are responsible for the cost of return postage unless an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.

Certain items, including earrings and personalised or customised jewellery, may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns. Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for full details.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions or our Returns & Refunds Policy affects your statutory rights.

6. Product availability

All products are subject to availability.

Occasionally, an item may become unavailable after an order has been placed. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and, where we cannot fulfil the order, issue a refund.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Knightley website, including our name, branding, logos, product names, designs, photographs, images, text, graphics and other content, is owned by or licensed to Knightley and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use our website for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise use our website content without our prior written permission.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use our website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, interfere with the operation or security of the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use automated systems to extract or reproduce substantial amounts of website content without our permission.

We reserve the right to restrict or prevent access to our website where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

9. Third-party services and links

Our website may contain links to or use services provided by third parties, including payment providers and other services required to operate our online store.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites that we do not control. Where you choose to use a third-party service, that service may also be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policy.

10. Shopify

Our store is hosted and powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to sell our products to you.

Any purchase you make from our store is a transaction directly between you and Knightley. Shopify is not the seller of our products and is not responsible for fulfilling your order.

11. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously.

Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. As our store is hosted by Shopify, certain personal information is also processed by Shopify and other service providers that enable us to operate our online store.

Please see our Privacy Policy for further information.

12. Errors and inaccuracies

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that information on our website is accurate.

Occasionally, information may contain an error or omission relating to matters such as product descriptions, pricing, availability or delivery information.

Where we discover an error, we reserve the right to correct it. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you where appropriate.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We supply our products for private and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from the use or resale of products purchased from us as a consumer.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, our website or applicable law.

The Terms & Conditions that apply to your purchase will be those in effect when you place your order.

15. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you will also retain the benefit of any mandatory protections available to you under the laws applicable where you live.
